Today we where given our A2 coursework, which is to produce a promotional package for the release of an album. The task will include a music video as well as a cover for its release on CD and a magazine advertisement for the CD. My group for this coursework consists of Sophie Dockerty, Laura Devine and Georgina Collyer. We discussed as a group which genre we felt most confident with, this resulted in us choosing the 'indie' genre. There are many examples of 'indie' bands and artists in today's charts such as: The kooks, Jamie T, The Courteeners and The Arctic Monkeys. We put together some of our ideas in a mind map to gain a better idea of what we need to make a successful promotional pack for an indie band.
